Director Of Studies
The director of studies plans supervises and ensures effective curriculum implementation as per stipulated ministry of education guidelines. Sets schedules/programmes that ensure smooth running of the system, i.e. time tabling and subject combinations. In this, students have an opportunity to take any combination out of the nine offered, from term two of each year in form two. Due to enhanced team work and good restorative methods, discipline of the learners is well managed, enabling the school to perform better. With God`s favours, the following programmes are yet to give us a better performance; Syllabus coverage is by March of the current year in form four and August in form one to form three. This results to:
- Adequate specific objectives based topical revision.
- Form 4 academic trip for three days. This covers:-Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Agriculture, geography, Business studies and History.
- Form FOUR block teaching based on student subject ability.
- Speakers ranging from subject Examiners to motivational.
- External joint examinations.Students reflection time per day from (1.30-2.00) pm.
- Adequate content specific objectives based holiday assignments per subject.
- Supervised students’ discussions/peer teaching per Sunday in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- Referral clinics for the first three weeks of term one and two to step up performance of low achievers.
- Weekly notes checking by subject teachers. This is monitored by students who give a weekly report on the same.
- Daily report from classes on lesson attendance.Weekly updated records of work covered.
