The boarding department is charged with overseeing the modern dormitories of the school which house the entire student population of about 1800.
The department is committed to ensuring security of girl-child by day and night,it also maintains cleanliness of the environment through community and manual with the help of the matrons.
There is a 24 hour school nurse who monitors and oversees that the health of the student is good.
Other services offered by the department include supply of emergency items for personal use and maintenance and repair of uniforms. To curb theft cases,the students pocket money kept in the bursar’s office. To instill responsibility the girls serve food in groups of twenty and each group has a meal card bearing the group number.
The girls are supposed to take of their personal effects in the dormitories and classes as well as taking care of the school properties and equipment. Each of the …… dormitories is manned by a dorm mistress
The boarding mistress supervises and offers guidance in each house. She is friendly hence any girl facing a problem finds it easy to consult her. She is assisted by other teachers, appointed as dormitory mothers, and house prefects to manage the dormitories.
In addition, we have installed over 80 CCTV cameras in all parts of our school to ensure there is safety at all times as well as to enable us to monitor students at all times.
